Standing up for Clean Water: Supporting Local Climate Action

Water is a public good, yet decades of privatisation have led to skyrocketing bills, deteriorating water quality, and a crisis in public trust.

Did you know that 75% of the UK’s rivers pose a threat to human health? Meanwhile, the River Avon—flowing through our home city of Bristol—is the third most polluted in England.

The facts and figures around sewage pollution and biodiversity loss are harrowing; that’s why we stand in solidarity with Green New Deal Rising and the climate activists fighting for cleaner rivers, lakes, and seas.

As part of our pro bono work supporting local grassroots charities, we are proud to support Green New Deal Rising’s recent campaign demanding a greener, fairer future for our communities.

Taking the message to the streets, we engaged the public in ‘water cooler chats,’ where we recorded real opinions from local people. The response was clear: communities want accountability, and they know that privatised water is failing both people and the planet. Watch the video below:
